MARKET OPPORTUNITY

Coal represents the most abundant energy resource and the largest concentration of hydrocarbons in the world on which to apply Luca's technology. According to the US Energy Information Administration, recoverable worldwide coal reserves are reported to be in excess of 900 billion short tons, with unrecoverable coal resources estimated to be many times larger. Luca has determined through field sampling and testing that many coalbeds are particularly well suited for the implementation of its technology, which allows Luca to access the energy in coal and deliver that energy as natural gas, avoiding the physical mining, transporting and combustion of coal.
