Luca Technologies' goal is to restore depleting subsurface habitats by enhancing the activity of naturally occurring microorganisms in existing drilled wells and cultivate their natural gas byproduct. This process transforms depleting and/or abandoned sites into sustainable energy sources and reduces the demand for drilling new wells. By leveraging a natural process, recycling existing infrastructure, and protecting precious groundwater resources, Luca's farming offers an environmentally benign transition towards a clean energy future.
